Panto in School

On our first day back in school we will be enjoying a visit from a Pantomime company who will put on a performance of Jack and the Beanstalk. We are very much looking forward to this. What a fun way to start our new term!

European Languages Day.

Tuesday 26th September was European Languages Day. We celebrated this across the school and learned all about the language, culture and cuisine of three European Countries: France, Spain and Germany.

What a Great First Half Term!

Class 6, you have been fantastic. You have made a great start to the school year and we are really pleased. We've had a delightful afternoon tea with the Queen, a super science day investigating materials and  a Tennis Skills afternoon. We also designed and made some bridges to go over the River Thames. Thank you to all of the children (and to everyone at home) for making our first term a super one.

Jack and the Beanstalk

What better way to start a new half term than with an energetic, modern pantomime show.  The children (and the teachers) thoroughly enjoyed the interactive performance of Jack and the Beanstalk. As well as being entertained, we were inspired and children across the school are writing their very own version of the tale. Here are some photos from the wonderful morning. See if you can spot two of our teachers putting on a show with the performers...

Materials Walk

Last week we went on a hunt around the school grounds, both inside and out, looking for different types of materials. We has great fun doing this and learned a lot. Photos to come

Year 1 Storytime Club

Starting 9th November, Mrs Tang will be leading a Storytime Club on Thurdays after school. The club will run from 3:20-4:00pm and there are limited places available so be sure to return your clubs letter by Friday morning.

Mathletics

Mathletics log ons have now been given out. While we do allocate time for mathletics in school it is a great resource to use at home. The children can practise what they have learned in class, complete set tasks and earn bronze, silver and gold certificates. We would encourage you to promote the use of mathletics at home as Class 6 are hoping to earn the most points in the school. Thanks you.

Meet the Teacher

A big thank you to all parents who attended 'Meet the Teacher'. For those of you who couldn't attend, or would just like a recap of the information shared with you, the powerpoint from the afternoon is attached.
