Year 5 Tattenhall Trip
The Year 5 children had a wonderful time on their Tattenhall residential last week. They took part in a range of exciting activities including Jungle Camp, which included putting up hammocks and shelters, and a World War 2 Workshop which included taking refuge in an Anderson Shelter. We also enjoyed a campfire with toasted marshmallows, and orienteering in the centre grounds. The children had a brilliant time, and it was so lovely to receive lots of compliments about our fabulous Year 5.
EYFS Class Trip to Imagine That Liverpool 7th October
All the children, staff and parent helpers had a fabulous day! Everyone behaved beautifully and today we have made slime, watched a volcano erupt with dry ice, popped dry ice bubbles, made snow, and painted our own fridge magnets. We have learnt about our 5 senses and developed our language skills in the learning village where we could be so many different jobs! What an eventful but brilliant day!
European Languages Day
On Friday 25th September our students took part in one of our favourite days of the academic year, European Day of Languages.
Badger's class have learned all about Ireland. They designed our own shamrocks, watched Riverdance and learned and performed some dances for the class too.
Owl’s Class spent the day discovering lots of interesting facts and learnt some Italian phrases. They listened and danced to Italian music and had discussions about the places they'd like to visit in Italy too.
Our Otters explored Norwegian folk dancing and have learnt about the geography and traditions including the Northern lights.
Hedgehogs class enjoyed learning lots about Portugal. They learnt colours of the rainbow, enjoyed the taste of Pastel de nata, learnt fun facts about the country of Portugal and finished off with a Portuguese dance.
My Happy Mind!
We are proud to announce that we are a myHappymind Bronze Accredited school!
This means that as a school we consider the mental health and wellbeing of our children as one of our top priorities. We have created a whole school culture that helps build our children's resilience, confidence and self esteem as well as teaching them how to self regulate in those stressful times.
This Accreditation badge has been awarded thanks to all the effort our staff, children, governors and parents have put in to bring the lessons of myHappymind to life all around our school!

We are also incredibly grateful for the continued partnership with Amazon volunteers, and we're looking forward to the fantastic programme of follow-on activities you'll be bringing into our school.
